Version 5.8.1 includes support for Denon's MC6000 MIDI controller, a limiter mode for automatic volume, a new jog wheel sensitivity setting, animated album artwork, optimized instant-start, and refinements for list displays, the scheduler, and events, as well as specific fixes for users running OS X 10.6 or older. The recently released 5.8 update featured VMS controller presets, better cover art support, fader-independent automatic gain, faster iTunes playlist access, sharper interface text, and ultra low latency mic play-thru among 120 advancements.
MegaSeg Pro provides many advanced features for professional DJs and VJs, radio and TV stations, and hospitality businesses such as restaurants and hotels. Featuring video playback for ambient visuals, hot keys for instant sound effects, automated music scheduling, ad messaging events, song separation rules, request lists, and much more. The DJ edition offers unique live mixing features for visual beat syncing via multi-touch trackpads, headphone preview, MIDI control, automatic volume, advanced categorization, track logging, and integrated iTunes playlists.
MegaSeg DJ and Pro editions are available from MegaSeg.com for $99 and $199 USD respectively, and compatible with any Mac running OS X 10.4 or higher. The DJ edition can be upgraded to MegaSeg Pro for $99, and older versions upgraded for $69. The DJ edition is also available on the Mac App Store for OS X 10.6.6 and higher.
